The bikini-clad madness that is the summer issue of FRONT hits shelves today. And to whet your appetite if you’ve not got your mucky hands on it yet, here’s some exclusive pics of Sam Kellett and Kaylee Carver that we couldn’t cram into the mag. Please, no running, petting or bombing while looking at them.
Electro maverick Dan Black is about to assault, pillage and violate the world with the brilliance of his new single, Symphonies. The track has a stonking vid to accompany it, nicking some of the greatest opening credits from the movies and magicking Black into them. Interesting fact, fact junkies: the track was originally recorded as a cover of Notorious BIG’s Hypnotize but had to be rewritten due to crazy old legal issues with Biggie’s estate. Now get guessing the movie references – first to get ‘em all wins an invisible bar of gold!
Looky here, FRONT 131 is in the shops right now and it’s probably the greatest issue ever made. This month, there are 18 amazing pages of Sam and Kaylee getting all nude by the pool and tons of other head-melting stuff. New girl Jessica is all kinds of awesomeness, and Alt Girl Jenia is well sexy too.
There’s also an ace Festival Bingo feature for your dirty eyes to look at, exclusive interviews with Fightstar and Sasha Grey (not together, numbnuts) plus loads of other wicked shit in there.
Get your hands on it now. Your local newsagent should have a copy. Go on, you can even treat yourself to some sweeties while you’re there. Better still, subscribe and get a free tee and pair of sunglasses. Nip over to the FRONT Shop for the deets.
This here is a trailer for an imaginary Green Lantern movie, put together by an obsessed and clearly fucking-ace-at-computers fan. Usually these things are hilariously bad (have you seeeenthat Thundercats one?) but this one is actually pretty smart. Mr Obsessed Fan has decided that he’d like to see Nathan Fillion out of Serenity play Green Lantern, and it’s his trailer, so he gets to cast whoever he likes.
There actually is a Green Lantern film on the way, but they haven’t started shooting it yet and it won’t be out until 2011. We reckon Mr Obsessed Fan might be angling for a special-effects job on it.
Big shout out to you if you were one of the delightful peoples who spent this bank holiday Sunday sweating your balls/boobies off up at Slam Dunk festival in Leeds. FRONT had an ace time in the sweltering heat. And special hugs and thanks to Katy, Holly, Natalie, Rekha and Ashley (pictured here sharing a delicious hot dog with You Me At Six) who helped us out by looking all pretty and doing FRONT proud and stuff.
Look out for pics and a Slam Dunk fashion special in the August issue of FRONT (confusingly out 30 June).
